Booksellers van Hoogstraten, one of the oldest, independent bookshops in Den Haag is situated just a few meters from Noordeinde Palace, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix's office. The bookshop was founded in 1881 and since 1947 owned by the Bakker family. Since 1994 we are granted with a Royal Warrant by H.M. Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. We only stock English books (fiction / biographies / children's books / gardening / cookery / art / antiques / lifestyle) and have a huge royal history collection. Nevertheless, we can order any book from any country for you. Recently we became stockist of the Penguin merchandise. Our website is a collection of very best new books stocked.
