Conditions of Use

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following delivery and payment conditions are valid for all transactions between bookshop and client.
Invoices must be settled within the period stated on the invoice.
Exceeding the invoice due date gives Van Hoogstraten the right to claim the total amount due at once. All expenses including interest will be charged to the buyer. This also applies to trial expenses, if necessary, with a minimum of 150 EURO. Only after full settlement will the goods become property of the buyer.
We are entitled to charge for shipping, administrative, and/or ordering costs.
Our offers come with the usual reservation concerning price, contents, delivery and availability.
Cancellation of orders is not possible. However, misprints may be returned within a certain period.
Complaints can only be accepted within a fortnight after having received the goods.
All goods are despatched under responsibility of the buyer, unless otherwise agreed (for instance registered packages).
We are entitled to demand a total or minimum payment, before accepting orders or making reservations. The client has to collect the items within 14 days after receiving our notice. Collection after this period means the forfeiture of the prepaid amount and the client remains obliged to purchase the item.
Departure from these terms and conditions is only possible with prior written approval.
By ordering or buying the customer agrees to be bound to these terms and conditions.
Disputes between bookshop and client shall be governed by the Court in The Hague.
