Juliana (1909-2004) was a beloved queen, unfortunately we know little of her personal life. A secluded upbringing in at a distressed court, her stay in Canada during the Second World War, Juliana became Queen in 1948. Yet full of ambition to her "tough but
beuwtiful" job. She soon was confronted
with great personal and political disappointments and
her reign was marked by a several crises.
Juliana's enduring love for Prince Bernhard, almost took it's toll.
The author has written an biography based on many unpublished letters etc explicitly researched from private archives. The book has become an intimate portrait of a life story during an eventful century.
