Eugen Ketterl, valet of Franz Joseph I, left behind an unique collection of postcards. Written during numerous travels with the monarch and his family. These mainly coloured postcards, from such as the Hungarian lowlands, the rocky landscape of Dalmatia, the high mountains of Tyrol and the Adriatic. In particular were the important places to Emperor Franz Joseph, such as Bad Ischl, Gödöllö, Mariazell and Wallsee. Travels to other European countries is also documented.
