This book should have been published years ago but it's now finally available: "Duke & Daughter of the Kaiser" Ernst August von Braunschweig & Victoria Luise von Preussen ". When Prince Ernst August of Hanover (1887-1953) was born in Penzing (near Vienna), no one could have foreseen that he would become the last ruling member of the House Welfen. His father was in exile with the family in Austria, refused entry to the throne in the former kingdom of Hanover, yet, as often happened in the life of Prince Ernst August, fatal coincidences had a major impact on his personal career. His reign as Duke of Brunswick also ended with the fall of the empire in 1918. To this day, his life is mainly characterized by the love marriage to Princess Victoria Luise of Prussia (1892-1980), the only daughter of the Emperor Wilhelm II. The fact that the life of the duke was not perfect, many strong upheavals, which the House Welfen turned several times into a crisis and have a deep aftermath to the present. This remained largely hidden from the public, up till now. Paperback edition, German language, 150 pages, both b /w and colour illustrations. Dimensions 21x21cm
