Linnemann, J.H. - Fredensborg Slot

Linnemann, J.H. - Fredensborg Slot
Fredensborg Castle was built as a hunting castle for Frederik IV in 1722 by the architect I.C. Krieger and has since formed the framework for both daily life and major events in the Royal Danish House. Weddings and birthday parties, guests from all over the world are welcomed, and Queen Margrethe and her family spend spring and autumn in the castle. Queen Margrethe has done extensive work in bringing the castle back to its original interior, while Prince Henrik designed his private rooms in a more global and French-inspired style. We also enter the private workrooms and living rooms that have never been shown before, and Queen Margrethe has an important voice in the book when she talks about how heads of state scratch their names into the castle's glass panes with a diamond, and how she and Prince Henrik had lunch in the Little Baroque dining room and spent the evenings in Frederik IV's Room. Hardback edition, fully illustrated (400 photos), in Danish, size 25x26cm, more than 400 pages.
