Lindinger, M - Elisabeth Petznek

Lindinger, M - Elisabeth Petznek
She could have become empress. Later she preferred to become a social democrat: Austria's last, most progressive and certainly most extravagant princess: Elisabeth Marie Petznek. The only daughter of Crown Prince Rudolf had to fight her dream man with her grandfather, Emperor Franz Joseph. She has also attacked competitors with a firearm. In the company of various lovers, she danced through the night bars from Pula to Trieste. The most radical dropout that the House of Habsburg has ever produced fought for divorce and sexual self-determination. She was a close friend of Federal President Theodor Körner and Foreign Minister Bruno Kreisky. Together with the resistance fighter Rosa Jochmann, she listened to Chancellor Kurt Schuschnigg's radio farewell speech in her living room on March 11, 1938. Her four children were disinherited, and instead all of her possessions went to the Republic of Austria. There is no name on her simple grave in Hütteldorf. Archduchess Erzsi died in 1963 as comrade Elisabeth Petznek. Hardback edition, illustrated, in German language, 303 pages, size 15.5x23cm.
