More than 1200 artefacts from the inventory of the Württemberg Palace have been extensively examined and restored for the new exhibition of the new Corps de Logis (new main building) in the residential palace Ludwigsburg. Using inventories from the 1800s to 1825, as much furniture as possible should be returned to its original place. Most of the approximately 200-year-old original artifacts have survived wars and social upheavals. In the post-war period, however, the palace was opened to the public for decorative rather than historical reasons. In the coming years, the 35 rooms of the new corps de logis will be renovated to their monumental requirements and an extensive selection of these artefacts will be on display again and what the aesthetics, status and decoration meant for the court life, culture and the function of rooms in the early 19th century.
