At least 65 years young and (still) at work, as volunteers or as a hobby. They have the age to retire so why still so active? The sparkle in their eyes speaks volumes: passion, drive, inspiration and joy of life. They do what makes their hearts happy, they even may have a mission to accomplish. Their appearances betray a certain age but also many beautiful and spicy adventures they have had along the way. Still, in their eyes, you see the adventurous child, a child with much gained wisdom. Portrait photographer Arnaud Mooij knows how to expose the true souls of these people. Twentyfive elderly people have been photographed, including Mrs A.E.L. Bakker-Mooy of this bookshop. These are beautiful photographs of her taken at the place where she is at her best, the bookshop. This book gives a surprising view of the life of the elderly in the power of their existence. Hardback edition, 170 pages, size 30x30 cm, only in the Dutch language.
